Engineered quartz
One of the original names in engineered quartz, with a broad palette from quiet solids to marble-look veining. Non-porous, no sealing, easy daily care.

Engineered quartz · American-made
American-made quartz known for rich, natural-stone looks and deep veining. A frequent pick for statement islands in opened-up Fairfax kitchens.

Engineered quartz
A wide color range across quiet neutrals and bolder tones, with consistent pattern from slab to slab, so what you approve is what gets installed.

Ultra-compact
An ultra-compact surface with high resistance to heat, scratching and UV. Suits heavy-use kitchens, and can run outdoors on a grill island or outdoor kitchen.

Quartz · granite · value
Quartz and natural granite across a broad price range, which is how a from-$9,900 kitchen package still gets a real quartz counter.

The material question
The honest answer depends on how you cook, how much maintenance you will actually do, and the look you want. Here is the short version we walk through at the showroom.
| Quartz (engineered) | Granite (natural) | Ultra-compact (Dekton) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Look | Consistent pattern, from quiet solids to marble-look veining | One-of-a-kind natural veining, no two slabs alike | Modern, from stone looks to industrial matte finishes |
| Maintenance | Non-porous, no sealing, soap and water | Porous, needs periodic resealing | Very low, no sealing |
| Heat and wear | Durable for daily use, trivets recommended for hot pans | Strong heat tolerance, can chip at edges | High resistance to heat, scratching and UV |
| Where it shines | Busy family kitchens and vanities, low-maintenance living | Homeowners who want natural stone character | Heavy-use kitchens and outdoor installations |
| Our brands | Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone, MSI Q | MSI granite and natural stone | Dekton |
Most Fairfax kitchens we build go with quartz for the maintenance-free daily life; granite and Dekton win when character or extreme durability leads the brief.

We template the counters precisely on site, confirming overhangs, seam locations, sink cutouts and the edge profile you chose.
The slab is fabricated to your template, and we coordinate the schedule so fabrication and installation line up with the rest of the project.
Installation usually takes a day: counters set and leveled, sink mounted, seams finished, and the faucet ready for hookup.
Two common projects
New counters on your existing cabinets, when the boxes are level and sound. A new sink and faucet typically go in during the same visit, and the whole change lands in days, not weeks. We confirm the cabinets can take the new material during the free in-home measure.
Quartz vanity tops from the same five brands, paired against our vanity cabinet lines on the showroom floor. Because quartz is non-porous and needs no sealing, it holds up well to daily bathroom use.
When a closed 1970s kitchen in Mantua or Kings Park West opens to the family room, the island counter becomes the most visible surface in the house. Seam planning, overhang support and slab layout get decided at templating, not discovered at install.
A counter picked in isolation often fights the cabinet finish. Our cabinet displays and countertop samples share one floor, so you check the pairing under the same light before either is ordered.
Decades-old cabinet runs in 1960s to 1980s homes are rarely dead level. Before a replacement counter is ordered, we check the boxes during the free in-home measure and tell you honestly whether they can take the new material.
Selection, templating, fabrication coordination and installation run through one point of contact. If anything is off, you call one number, not a fabricator, a plumber and a store blaming each other.
Colors read differently on a screen, and veining only makes sense at real scale. Put the samples next to each other, check them against your cabinet door under showroom light and daylight, and for natural stone we arrange slab viewing so you approve the exact piece that goes in your kitchen.
